ABOUT US

---

MONTY was founded by brothers Chuck and Joe, who carry on family values and a love of music that have been passed down through generations. The name “MONTY” comes from a nickname inspired by their last name, Montalbano. Chuck and Joe share a natural musical connection that is easy to notice when they perform, especially between Chuck’s lead guitar and Joe’s drums. Their chemistry helps shape the band’s sound and creates a strong foundation for the group’s rhythm section. However, Chuck and Joe are not the only members of MONTY with deep roots in music.

Ava DiFiore has been playing music and performing throughout the Greater Philadelphia area since she was 13 years old. Ava is the lead singer, along with rhythm guitar & keyboard player of MONTY. Influenced by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, and Carrie Underwood, Ava brings a unique vocal sound that fits naturally with the music MONTY is creating and the sound the band continues to develop.

Last but not least is the cool, calm, collected, and very talented Kenny Stanko, who has been playing bass since 2022. Kenny got his start in the music scene playing with his mom’s band before branching out and playing bass with too many groups to count. He brings smooth bass lines and a calm presence that help keep the rhythm section locked in. Kenny enjoys playing a wide variety of genres, ranging from hard rock to jazz. Influences such as John Paul Jones and Jack Bruce have shaped his playing style and the way he holds down the low end in MONTY.

Together, the members of MONTY have formed a group built around a shared passion for music, early musical roots, and inspiration from the many great artists and musicians who came before them. The band is focused on honoring and respecting those influences while taking what they have learned and making the music their own. MONTY hopes to share that love and passion for music with every audience they perform for.

Known for energetic live performances, strong musicianship, and a genuine passion for connecting with audiences, MONTY has quickly earned a reputation as one of the area’s most exciting young bands. Whether performing crowd-favorite classics or debuting original material, the group brings authenticity, talent, and heart to every stage they step on.
